*NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” Reaches 1 Billion Streams on Spotify

*NSYNC’s 2000 hit Bye Bye Bye officially surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. The group took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank fans for making it happen, as the song saw a resurgence in popularity following its feature in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).

The movie’s opening scene, featuring Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in a choreographed dance-fighting sequence to “Bye Bye Bye,” reignited excitement for the song. The sequence blended action with nostalgia, sparking a massive wave of fans and creators recreating the dance across social media. The film’s release also sparked a viral trend, with dancers, creators, and Marvel enthusiasts sharing their renditions of the dance sequence across social media platforms.

Nick Pauley, credited as Dancepool, performed the Deadpool & Wolverine dance scene. The original *NSYNC choreography, created 25 years ago by Darrin Henson, remains one of the most recognizable boyband routines in history.

This renewed attention even propelled “Bye Bye Bye” back onto the charts last summer, with the song re-entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 45 and climbing to No. 8 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. With this milestone, “Bye Bye Bye” cements its legacy as one of *NSYNC’s most enduring hits. Fans continue to celebrate its impact, proving that great music—and iconic dance moves—stand the test of time.

🎉 Congratulations to Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass on this incredible milestone! 🎉
