Yogi Bear is a 2010 American live-action/animated comedy film directed by Eric Brevig and based on the classic animated series The Yogi Bear Show, created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The film follows Yogi Bear and his best friend Boo-Boo as they face the possible closure of their home, Jellystone Park, when a corrupt mayor plans to sell the park’s land for logging. Justin Timberlake voices Boo-Boo, Yogi’s more sensible and level-headed companion who often tries to keep his friend out of trouble. Dan Aykroyd, Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh, T.J. Miller, and Andy Daly also star in the film.
SYNOPSIS
Yogi Bear and his best friend Boo-Boo spend their days stealing picnic baskets and causing trouble for the rangers at Jellystone Park, but their carefree life is threatened when Mayor R. Brown plans to shut down the park and sell its land for logging. Determined to save their home, park ranger Smith teams up with documentary filmmaker Rachel Johnson and attempts to convince the public to support Jellystone. After their first efforts fail, Yogi and Boo-Boo realize that they need to help protect the park before it is too late. When they discover that Boo-Boo’s pet turtle may be an endangered species, the group sees an unexpected opportunity to stop the mayor’s plans and preserve Jellystone.
