Edison (also known as Edison Force) is a 2005 American thriller film written and directed by David J. Burke. The film stars Morgan Freeman, LL Cool J, Justin Timberlake, and Kevin Spacey, and marked Timberlake’s feature film debut. Timberlake stars as Joshua Pollack, an ambitious young reporter who uncovers evidence of corruption within Edison’s elite F.R.A.T. police unit and risks his life to expose those responsible.
SYNOPSIS
In the city of Edison, a controversial police shootout and a violent raid lead rookie officer Raphael “Rafe” Deed to question the actions of his fellow F.R.A.T. officers. Meanwhile, reporter Joshua Pollack begins investigating the unit after witnessing suspicious behavior surrounding a criminal trial. As Pollack digs deeper, he uncovers evidence of police corruption, violence, and a larger money-laundering operation involving powerful officials. After Pollack is attacked for pursuing the story, Deed realizes that the corruption reaches far beyond his fellow officers and secretly helps Pollack obtain evidence. As the investigation puts both men in danger, they must confront the powerful forces determined to keep the truth from coming to light.
