Justin Timberlake’s ‘Everything I Thought It Was’ 1st Anniversary

One year ago today, on March 15, 2024, Justin Timberlake released his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was. As a longtime fan of Justin and his music, I can confidently say this album is one of my favorites from start to finish. With a mix of heartfelt ballads, infectious grooves, and introspective lyrics, Everything I Thought It Was truly delivered on every level. 💿🎶
The album marked Justin’s highly anticipated return to music following Man of the Woods (2018) and featured collaborations with Fireboy DML, Tobe Nwigwe, and his *NSYNC bandmates. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and included standout singles like “Selfish” and “No Angels,” along with the promotional track “Drown.” From the smooth production to Justin’s signature vocals, this album has remained in heavy rotation for me over the past year. 🎤🎼
I genuinely love every single song and always listen to the album from start to finish—no skipping. If I had to pick my top favorites, they would be “Memphis,” “No Angels,” “Technicolor,” “Drown,” “My Favorite Drug,” “Selfish,” and of course, “Paradise (feat. *NSYNC).” Each track brings something special, whether it’s the emotion, the energy, or the nostalgia, making Everything I Thought It Was such a standout in Justin’s discography. 🎧🎵
Justin has always been an artist who evolves with each era, and Everything I Thought It Was showcased his growth while still bringing that signature JT magic. I was lucky enough to attend The Forget Tomorrow World Tour in both Fort Worth and Dallas last year, and experiencing these songs live made me appreciate them even more. 🎤✨
In celebration of the first anniversary of Everything I Thought It Was, I’m sharing the album below so fans can revisit (or discover) this incredible body of work. Also, check out the music videos for “Selfish,” “No Angels” (Original and Directors Cut), and “Drown” (Lyric Video) below! 🎬🎥
