SYNOPSIS:
Eddie Palmer, a former high school football star turned ex-felon, returns to his hometown after serving 12 years in prison. He finds work as a janitor and becomes the reluctant guardian of Sam, a young boy neglected by his drug-addicted mother. Despite his initial reluctance, Palmer forms a bond with Sam and begins a relationship with Sam’s teacher, Maggie. As he navigates the challenges of his parole status and an uncertain living situation, Palmer must confront his past and fight for Sam’s future.
